LADDERS TRAINING, LADDER SAFETY COURSE, LADDER ASSOCIATION TRAINING COURSE.

This is a half day course. Delegates will need the following, Hard hat, Safety boots,High vis, National Insurance number.

On successful completion delegates will be competent to select, use and inspect ladders.

Certification - Ladder Association identity card & certificate (which is widely recognised by the Heath & Safety Executive (HSE) and is valid for 5 years) British Ladder Manufacturers Association booklet - 'Leaning Ladder and Stepladder'

  • Registration & induction, Theory session
  • Relevant health & safety, Legislation & regulation, codes of practice
  • Product standards, Classification
  • Select appropriate work at height equipment, Ladder & stepladder types
  • Accidents & hazards, Safe use
  • Ladder & stepladder damage inspection, Completion of Inspection Report & Register
  • Theory test (multiple-choice), Practical instruction
  • Practical test
